translators needed

We are currently in need of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese translators. You must know how to speak English good enough that people can understand you (it's okay to have spelling mistakes, that's what the proofreaders are for). We prefer you to save the translations on a Notepad or Word Document. 

 Timeframe: about 2 weeks for one chapter. I will make exceptions for long chapters and if you have some personal problems.

You must:

  1. Translate everything on the page (includes all  SFXs, small text, etc. but free talks are optional) 
  2. Meet the deadlines
  3. Report to me of your progress every week so I know that you haven't abandoned us
  4. Must follow these guidelines

editors needed

We are in need of editors who are handy with Photoshop. We might make exceptions if you are using a different program as long as you can crop, level, rotate, clone, etc.

You don't need any past experiences as long as you have the required fonts (Wild Words, Yikes!, Badaboom, Chronicles of a Hero, etc). If you don't have these fonts, PM me in the forums and I will send you a link where you can install them.

Timeframe: about 2-3 weeks for one chapter. If you do 2-3 pages a day, then you will be done in about 2 weeks if you have about 30 pages. I will make exceptions for long chapters (more than 40 pages), and I will extend the deadline accordingly. 

Forever Guide and The Idiot's Guide are the recommended sites to learn how to edit manga with Photoshop.

proofreaders needed

Japanese, Chinese, and Korean-speaking proofreaders:
  1. Able to spot missing translations in bubbles, small text, SFX, etc.
  2. Timeframe: about 5-7 days

English-only proofreaders:

  1. Needs to be fluent in English and be able to spot spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc.
  2. Timeframe: 2-3 days because this is the easiest job

 

 There is no test for proofreaders. I will consider your application to me as a test, so when you are applying, please don't use any shortcuts like "u" for "you" or "cuz" for "because", etc.

raw manga provider

NO manga in English! It has to be either Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. All other languages will be accepted except for English.

quality checker

Checks the quality of the finished chapters. You don't have to have Photoshop if you don't have it, you can just tell the editor what she needs to improve on, what she needs to change, and/or any spelling mistakes. A sharp eye is needed for this one. ;)
